Domestic Violence Not Taken Seriously In UK

Here is an article about Domestic Violence and how it is treated as a second-class crime by the police in the UK.

According to a recently released study victims were treated with disrespect and not taken seriously.

‘The findings of this report should be a wake-up call for the police service,’ HM inspector of constabulary, Zoë Billingham, said. ‘Domestic abuse must no longer be the poor relation to other policing activity.’

Ms Billingham believes the system is in need of an ‘urgent overhaul’ after some officers were found to have left victims feeling ‘judged.’

This has led to a new national oversight group that will be formed to oversee domestic violence claims.

Women in this country are being treated much better by police these days with reports of domestic violence. Not long ago it was similar to the way the UK is handling the cases. But because of pressure, things are slowly changing for the better.

In the UK pepper spray and stun devices are illegal placing women at a huge disadvantage in defending themselves. Here the United States pepper spray and stun devices are legal in most places and are still the best way to defend against a domestic abuse assault.

This smack stun gun can provide immediate relief from a domestic abuse assault. It is so small that it can be carried on a keychain. It is 5,000,000 volts and only 3 ½ inches long and 1¼ inches wide. It can disable an assailant for as much as 10 minutes.
