Change In Defensive Spray Law Long Overdue

There was a story recently out of Boston about how South Shore police chiefs are applauding the legislatures votes by pepper spray without first getting firearms identification card.

The change in the Pepper Spray Law will make it easier for individuals to get self-defense protection without dealing with the cumbersome licensing progress. Welcome to the 21st century Massachusetts!

The story pointed out that the current requirement is a burden for law-abiding citizens and it has no consequence for those who don’t follow the law. The story also pointed out that it is already a felony for someone to use the spray while committing a crime.

The vote in the Massachusetts legislature was unanimous. You still have to be 18 in order to buy it.
