Suspects On Loose After Burglary

A water store near Summerlin is asking for the public’s help in finding the people involved in an early morning burglary and theft that was caught on Security Camera.

The owner of the store said his surveillance cameras picked up a thief using what appears to be a crowbar to smash into his outside water vending machines, before grabbing the cash inside.

A second person also appears in the video, seen standing outside their SUV. The genders of the people in the video remain unclear.

The owner said it’s the second burglary in the past month. Repairs are estimated at around $2,000. On Tuesday, a loyal customer named Pete spent the afternoon volunteering his time by making temporary fixes the damages.

Burglar Shot While Fleeing Home

According to this story in the Indianapolis Star police officers shot a Home burglar as he was fleeing out the back door of the home recently.

Officers arrived on the scene just after 2 AM with a burglary in progress and found two injured males were later taken to Indiana University health Methodist Hospital.

While inside the home, the officers noticed two other unidentified males running out the back door and gave chase. During the chase, at least one of the suspects fired at officers, the IMPD release said, and officers returned fire, striking one of the suspects. The other suspect continued to run but was captured a short while later.

Nearly one out of every six homes in the United States is subject to being burglarized every year.

Holiday Burglary Prevention Tips

From a local television station in Roanoke, Virginia comes tips from a local police department about Holiday Home Burglaries.

They warn us that holidays are a great time for thieves to break into homes.

“We’re all creatures of habit and we all get into a routine,” said crime prevention specialist Travis Akins with the Roanoke City Police Department.

  1. Be on the lookout for any unusual activity in their neighborhoods as we head into the holiday season.
  2. Don’t be so predictable. Very your routine so burglars can’t get a fix on you or your habits.
  3. Leaving your lights off while you travel out of town is not the best idea because it lets criminals know no one is home.
  4. It’s the same situation with an empty driveway. If you own more than one car, leave one parked there while you’re out of town.
  5. Tell your neighbors that you are leaving. Whether you ask them to collect your newspapers or just keep an eye on the house, it could prevent a crime from happening.
  6. If you have a security system, turn it on.
  7. Don’t throw the packaging away as is. “It sounds really crazy but cut the box up,” he said. “Tuck it away inside of another trash box then put it out there.”
  8. The value of goods taken and burglaries has been cut in half in the last year due to the security surveillance systems.
  9. Akins says people should avoid posting personal travel plans to social media.

Many people can’t afford to have real security cameras at their home which is why we recommend fake security cameras.

Best Known Burglary Suspect At It Again

One of the best known burglary suspects in the greater Dallas Texas area is a man by the name of Larry Don Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins has an Impressive Criminal Resume that includes 81 offenses filed, 31 arrests, 6 felonies and yet he continues to be released from jail.

He is the reputed ringleader of local safe burglars. Authorities have been frustrated for years, because they keep arresting him… and he keeps getting out. How does he get into these safes? The old-fashioned way! He and his fellow gang members beat the door in.

He was the recent target of the safe burglary task force. He has been caught time and time again but manages to elude jail and slip through the system. He is a colorful character, according to police, driving high-end luxury vehicles, bragging about being the “King South Dallas” and claiming to be a millionaire.

When he was arrested last month, he was out on $250,000 bond and was involved in a pending organized crime case in another county.

This time when he was arrested he was caught on video surveillance camera. Slamdunk you say?

Not so fast! His high-powered attorney feels certain he will be released soon.

It is a well-established fact that criminals will avoid a home that has security cameras when they’re looking for places to burglarize. It is one of the best two or three deterrents to home burglary. But for reasons of cost-home security cameras can be expensive-many homeowners opt for fake security cameras instead.

Fake security cameras offer some of the same physical characteristics of real security cameras including real housing; 24/7 blinking, flashing red LED lights; motion activated movement and realistic looking wiring. As a matter of fact, they are so realistic looking that no one can tell the difference unless they are a trained professional or an untrained burglar from two or 3 feet away.

For those reasons fake security cameras offer effective yet cheaper home security-an inexpensive way to prevent home burglary.

Common Sense Burglary Prevention Tips

Home burglary is one of the easiest crimes to commit which is one reason why it is so common with one out of every six homes being targeted on an annual basis. An astonishing close to 60% of all burglaries are committed through unlocked doors or windows. Here are some other common sense burglary prevention tips.

  1. Make sure all your entrances to your home are well lit including your driveway yard and then areas around your home.
  2. Trim lower-level trees and shrubs to eliminate hiding places.
  3. If you have a garage, make sure you use it for your car and keep your garage door closed.
  4. Burglars will only spend a minimal amount of time trying to get inside your home. So it makes sense to make it as difficult as possible. Start by locking all your doors and windows.
  5. Install alarms on all your doors and windows. That way if a burglar does try to break in, you will be scared away by the sound sometimes as loud as 130 dB.
  6. Consider getting some Fake Security Cameras they are a fraction of the cost of the real thing and work to deter a burglary.

Burglar Caught On Camera

This is an interesting story about how Security Cameras caught a burglar in the act of robbing a business. The burglar pried open a lock on the back door of a vacant business and then kicked through the walls to get inside two other stores.

Surveillance cameras caught the guy on video. Police say the damage he caused during his crime spree costs much more than the money he got out of the registers.
